Senate Republican Policy Committee Holds Hearing On Marcellus Shale Drilling April 9
The Senate Republican Policy Committee will hold a hearing April 9 on Marcellus Shale drilling at the PA College of Technology in Williamsport.
 
Those expected to testify include:
 
--Local Government Panel:Commissioner Rebecca Burke, Lycoming County, Commissioner Mark Smith, Bradford County, Commissioner Mary Ann Warren, Susquehanna County, Supervisor David Reese, Penn Township;
 
--Industry Panel: Ray Walker, Appalachia Shale, Range Resources, David Spigelmyer, Chesapeake Energy, Kristi Gittins, Chief Oil and Gas, Stephen Randolph, Appalachian Basin Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Stephen Rhoads, PA Oil and Gas Association;
 
-- Robert Yowel, Regional Director, Department of Environmental Protection;
 
-- Craig Lobins, Regional Oil and Gas Manager, DEP; and
 
-- Tom Beauduy, Susquehanna River Basin Commission.
 
Sen. John Pippy (R-Allegheny) serves as Chair of the Committee.
