Prescribed Burning Practices Featured In April Environmental Synopsis
Legislation to regulate prescribed burning practices to help ensure forest health is the focus of the April issue of the Environmental Synopsis published by the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee.
 
Other articles include: diesel vs. hybrids, who is less wasteful- Philadelphia or Pittsburgh and ethanol production.
 
The next Environmental Forums sponsored by the Joint Committee will be held May 4 featuring a presentation on Pennsylvania's Heritage Areas and June 8 where the topic will be alternative energy sources for Pennsylvania.
 
The Chair of the Committee is Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) and the Vice Chair is Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne).
