Sign Up Now For The North Branch Susquehanna Sojourn June 18-23
If you are looking for an affordable vacation close to home this summer that is fun, educational, healthy and outdoors, we encourage you to join us for the 2009 North Branch Susquehanna Sojourn.
 
The registration deadline has been extended until June 6 with no late fees!
 
The North Branch Susquehanna Sojourn is sponsored by the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership and will be held from June 18 to 23. This 100-mile paddle trip begins at Camp Lackawanna at Vosburg Neck and concludes six days later.
 
On June 19 sojourners will travel to Nesbitt Park in Wilkes-Barre and will be able to take part in the Wyoming Valley River Fest on Friday and Saturday nights. The festival includes a dedication of the Wilkes-Barre River Commons and will have musical entertainment along with historical and river oriented displays for the sojourners to enjoy. The sojourners will leave Nesbitt Park and travel to Shickshinny on Sunday.
 
Monday night the sojourners will camp at the Barn at Boone’s Dam in Bloomsburg. Musical entertainment will be provided for the sojourners to relax and enjoy. The journey ends on June 23 with a special ceremony at Shikellamy State Park where the North Branch and West Branch of the Susquehanna River converge.
