Town Hall Meetings Will Explore Natural Gas Drilling Impacts, Action Day Set For June 9
Photo

Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future, joined by elected officials and representatives of other organizations working to protect Pennsylvania’s land, water and communities from damage caused by natural gas drilling, will hold Town Hall meetings across the state and will sponsor an Action Day in Harrisburg on June 9.

These meetings are part of the statewide campaign to pass a severance tax on natural gas drilling, with portions of the tax invested in the land, water, wildlife, and the communities that bear the brunt of this drilling.

These special events will be held--

-- June 9 - Capitol Hill Action Day 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;

-- June 10 - PA Horticultural Society, Philadelphia. 5:00 p.m.; and

-- June 12 - East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh 10:30.

For more information and to register for these events, visit the PennFuture website.
