Cleanup Liability, Gas Production, Host Municipalities Bills Reported From House Committee
House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee reported out legislation on brownfield cleanup liability, reporting oil and gas well production, redefining host municipalities related to waste facilities and expanding eligible applicants under the H20 water infrastructure funding program.

The bills include:

-- Senate Bill 84 (Greenleaf-R-Montgomery) providing for a limitation on cleanup liability for economic development agencies;

-- Senate Bill 297 (Yaw-R-Bradford) requiring annual reporting a oil and gas well production;

-- House Bill 1798 (Eachus-D-Luzerne) adding not-for-profit organizations as an eligible applicant of the H2O water infrastructure program; and

-- House Bill 1768 (Wansacz-D-Luzerne) amending Act 101 to expand the definition of host municipality.

Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) serves as Majority Chair of the Committee and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Minority Chair.
