Ohio River Watershed Celebration Changed To October 1 To Avoid G-20 Summit

The Ohio River Watershed Celebration will now be held on October 1, not September 24 starting from Pittsburgh's Gateway Clipper dock.

The change in date was necessary because the earlier date conflicts with the G-20 World Summit to be held in Pittsburgh.

This year's theme remains the same-- Celebration will be "Energy Efficiency and Watershed Connections" and will again feature two boats.

Last year about 950 adults and students, along with 70 groups, participated in the Celebration which for the first time featured two boats, one for students with educational programs and activities called the Imagination Cruise and another for adults to network, hear presentations and browse displays.

Registration for adults
to go on the cruise is still open. All the spots for the Imagination Cruise were snapped up within a few days.
