64 New Marcellus Shale Gas Wells Started In First 2 Weeks Of November

The Department of Environmental Protection this week reported 64 new Marcellus Shale natural gas wells were started in the Commonwealth during the first two weeks of November.

This is more than double the number started during the entire month of October. (11/9/09 Pa Environment Digest)

The first Marcellus Shale gas well was drilled in Washington County in 2003.
