PAEE Announces Environmental Education Award Winners

The PA Alliance for Environmental Educators announced the winners of their annual awards at their  Conference this month.  The winners are:
-- Keystone Award – Kathleen Paul, Director of PA Center for Environmental Education;
-- Government Partner Award – Jack Farster, Director of Environmental Education, DEP;
-- Outstanding Environmental Educators – Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team, Melissa Reckner Director, Windber; 
-- Daisy S. Klinedinst Award  (environmental educator less than 5 years in the field) – PattiAnn Cutter, Environmental Educator, Silver Lake Nature Center, Bristol;
-- Outstanding Environmental Education program- Outdoor Adventures – Natural Biodiversity, Kristin Sewak Director; and Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team, Melissa Reckner Director, Windber;
-- Business Partner Award – Cecil Brogan, Owner Pennypower Newspapers, Coopersburg; and
-- Outstanding  Contribution to the Environmental Field – Dr. Douglas W Tallamy, author of Bringing Nature Home, professor and chair of the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware.
