Presque Isle Habitat Documentary Receives Award

The documentary film "Wings, Sand and Song: Presque Isle's Habitat," created by Erie filmmakers Tracy Graziano and Benjamin Koncewicz of Moonfire Film Productions, has been selected by judges to receive an Honorable Mention award in Natural Sound and will be honored at the prestigious 33rd annual International Wildlife Film Festival scheduled for May 8-15 in Missoula, Mont.
“Wings, Sand & Song” was filmed in 2007-2008 for the Presque Isle Audubon Society. The film is a celebration of the diversity of bird life at Presque Isle State Park—one of North America’s top ten birding sites. This 70-minute documentary covers all four seasons, and takes the viewer through six distinct ecological zones. Four habitats are unique to Presque Isle and are found nowhere else in the state.
“Wings, Sand & Song: Presque Isle’s Habitat” DVD is for sale at the Big Green Screen Theatre’s Concession and directly through the Presque Isle Audubon Society.
