Here are the Senate and House Calendars and Committee meetings showing bills of interest as well as a list of new environmental bills introduced--

Session Schedule

The House and Senate return to session on May 24. The Senate and House then break until after the May 18 Primary election.

Calendars

House (May 24):  House Bill 80 (Vitali-D-Delaware) expanding the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards and authorizing a carbon sequestration network.

Senate (May 24):  House Bill 687 (Dermody-D-Allegheny) adding upgrades to reduce water and wastewater consumption, production were included in changes to the law authorizing guaranteed energy savings contracts;  Senate Bill 1176 (D.White-R-Indiana), Senate Bill 1196 (D.White), Senate Bill 1197 (D.White) requiring mining permit fees to be adopted by regulation.

Committees

House: the Finance Committee hearing on House Bill 2443 (Levdansky-D-Allegheny) imposting a natural gas production severance tax in Washington; the House Republican Policy Committee hearing on Marcellus Shale issues in Bradford County.
