Video Blog- Legislators, Environmental Groups Push For Natural Gas Severance Tax

Legislators, environmental groups and citizen lobbyists held a press conference at the Capitol this week to urge action on legislation and regulations related to Marcellus Shale drilling. They urged: adoption of a natural gas production severance tax to fund environmental programs, supported passage of a moratorium on further leasing of State Forest land for drilling and adoption of updated drilling regulations to protect water quality.
