The PA Nature Conservancy Moosic Mountain Blueberry Day July 18

Lace up your hiking boots, hop on your mountain bike or bring your own basket in search of wild blueberries during an afternoon of outdoor adventure and family fun. Come celebrate the blueberry harvest at Blueberry Day at the Dick and Nancy Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain on July 18.
Guided hikes and mountain bike rides (both beginner and advanced) will be offered through the preserve’s 20 miles of trails. Self-guided walks in search of wild blueberries are also an option throughout the day. Learn about the importance of Moosic Mountain to native and migratory bird species and to the local community.
Once slated to become an industrial park, through the efforts of the Conservancy, its partners and the hard work of volunteers led by the Hubbard Bike Club, the mountain is now a destination for mountain bikers and hikers and a haven for wildlife.
Blueberry Day activities will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Dick and Nancy Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountian about 30 minutes northeast of Scranton on Route 247 near Jessup in Lackawanna County.
