ASCE Presents “Citizens’ Vision for Smart Growth” Program Nov. 10

The Pittsburgh Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers is presenting a special program November 10 in Mars, Butler County on two reports calling for adopting a sustainable growth policy for Pennsylvania. “Back to Prosperity: A Competitive Agenda for Pennsylvania” was published by the Brookings Institution earlier this year calling on the state government to invest in infrastructure and economic development program on a coordinated basis to promote sustainable economic and growth objectives for Pennsylvania. “Citizens’ Vision for Smart Growth” by the Sustainable Pittsburgh group called for adopting policies that would revitalize older communities and prevent urban sprawl. |
