Falcon Lays Full Clutch of Eggs in Harrisburg, Pittsburgh Falcon Pair Ahead

Now that the female Peregrine Falcon on the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg has laid her clutch of four eggs, both the male and female will take turns tending the eggs. The eggs are expected to hatch around May 8 – Mother’s Day—as in past years.

Watch the nest online with live video and still photos as the falcon pair take turns on the eggs and hunting food.

You can watch a second pair of Peregrine Falcons on their nest online at the Gulf Tower nest in Pittsburgh, courtesy of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.

The Pittsburgh pair is always a few days ahead of the Harrisburg pair in laying eggs and this year was no exception. They laid their first egg March 10, while the Harrisburg pair laid their first on March 25.

The first egg in Pittsburgh should hatch on or about April 23.
