First Responders Participate In Safety Training Sponsored By Chief Oil & Gas

In early May, Chief Oil & Gas sponsored a safety training program for first responders in Northeast Pennsylvania at the Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency facility in Tuckhannock, Pa.
Attended by fire officers from Lake Carey, Franklin, Sweet Valley, Meshhoppen, and the Wyoming County EMA, the training focused on using actual well data to recreate different types of operational difficulties and to teach prevention and control of safety issues at Marcellus wells.
"We look forward to developing a good working relationship and information sharing system with Chief Oil & Gas to better educate our emergency responders in community safety practices," said David Carichner, Wyoming County EMA Operations & Training Officer. "We appreciate that Chief is helping to protect our communities by hosting training sessions such this one."
The training program was administered by Wild Well Control, a company that provides firefighting, well control, engineering and training services to oil and gas operators around the world. Wild Well Control has a local Pennsylvania facility in Clearfield County, Pa.
"Safety is our utmost concern, and we are always looking for opportunities to work with local communities to improve and promote safety initiatives in our operations," said David Patterson, Chief's Vice President of Operations.
