Imgrund Named Director Of DCNR Bureau Of Recreation And Conservation

Lauren Imgrund has been named Director of the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources effective October 31.
           She succeeds Brenda Barrett who retired from the position at the end of July and Darrel Siesholtz who served as acting Bureau Director.
            Lauren currently serves as the Conservation Landscape Initiative Coordinator for DCNR, and has over twenty years experience in building collaborative partnerships to develop place-based solutions and strategies for land conservation, outdoor recreation, community re-vitalization, water quality improvement and natural resource conservation.
            As the Department’s CLI coordinator, she leads cross-bureau and inter-agency teams to implement this award winning strategy for land conservation, locally-driven planning and community economic development.
            Lauren previously served as a Recreation and Parks Advisor in DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation; as Director of the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring at Dickinson College for ten years; and, as Assistant Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Wildlife Federation.
            Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology for from Juniata College and a Master of Arts in Community Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
            Lauren lives in Carlisle, and her hobbies are hiking the Appalachian Trail, hunting, paddling and reading.
