Senate/House Bills Moving

The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate--

House

Land Banks: House Bill 1682 (Taylor-R-Philadelphia) further providing for the creation of land banks was removed from the Table and is now on the House Calendar for action.

Green Roof Credit:  House Bill 490 (M.Smith-D-Allegheny) establishing a green roof tax credit was reported out of the House Finance Committee and Tabled.

Senate

Marcellus Well Emergencies: Senate Bill 995 (Baker-R-Luzerne) requiring the posting of 911 information at Marcellus Shale wells was reported from the Senate Rules Committee and was passed by the Senate putting it on the Governor's desk for his action.

Infrastructure Replacement: House Bill 1294 (Godshall-R-Montgomery) authorizing the PUC to establish a distribution system improvement charge (DSIC) as an alternative to regular rate cases to recover costs associated with replacing pipelines and other utility infrastructure was amended and reported out of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee and referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Agricultural Composting: Senate Bill 1298 (Smucker-R-Lancaster) allowing the use of preserved agricultural land for agricultural composting was referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
