DCNR, Penn State Extension Host Sustainable Backyard Landscape Series In Northeast

Penn State Extension and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources are sponsoring a series of six Sustainable Backyard Landscape Workshops starting in March and ending in September in Northeast Pennsylvania.
            Here's the schedule of workshops--
-- March 10: Birds In Your Backyard, Lackawanna State Park;
-- March 30: Woods In Your Backyard, Keystone College, LaPlume, Pa;
-- March 31: Woods In Your Backyard, East Stroudsburg University;
-- May 12: Landscaping With A Purpose- Rain Gardens In Your Backyard, Frances Slocum State Park;
-- June 2: What's Invading Your Backyard?  Invasive Plants & Pests, Nescopeck State Park; and
-- September 20: Sustainable Landscapes Bus Tour, Luzerne County.
            Online registration for each program is available online.  If you do not have Internet access, you can call the toll free number at 877-489-1398 for assistance or call the Luzerne County Extension Office at 570-825-1701 to register for any of the programs.
