Energy In The Alleghenies Conference At Duquesne Sept. 24-25

Air and Waste Management Association's Allegheny Mountain Section and Duquesne University are sponsoring the Energy in the Alleghenies Conference at the Duquesne University Power Center in Pittsburgh on September 24-25.

Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia are rich with energy resources and technical knowledge on accessing, processing, and providing energy. Each energy source comes with unique environmental issues and solutions.

This conference will look at technical issues surrounding environmental management of coal, Marcellus shale oil and gas, nuclear, wind, and other energy industries.

Confirmed keynote speakers include Vince Brisini, the Deputy Secretary for the Office of Waste, Air, Radiation and Remediation at the Department of Environmental Protection and M. Gary Helm, a Senior Market Strategist from PJM Interconnection. Other speakers from industry, government, and technical consultants will share up‐to‐date information on innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

The Air and Waste Management Association's Allegheny Mountain Section is one of the region's most prominent environmental profession organizations providing a balanced discourse on technical issues.
