The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of a January 22 public hearing on an application for a new 850 acre municipal waste landfill site in Boggs Township, Clearfield County.

The hearing will be held at the Lighthouse Evangelical Church, 7993 Drane Highway, West Decatur starting at 7:00 p.m. (formal notice PA Bulletin page 7556)

The proposed landfill would provide disposal capacity for 25 years at the acceptance rate of 5,000 tons of waste per day.
