Alternative Energy Production Tax Credit On House Environmental Committee Agenda

The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet on April 24 to consider House Bill 1171 (Dunbar-R-Westmoreland) repealing the Alternative Energy Production Tax Credit.

According to Rep. George Dunbar, the prime sponsor of the bill, the Alternative Energy Production Tax Credit has not been used since its creation in 2008 and as a result he is proposing to eliminate the credit.  Click Here for a summary of the bill.

The meeting will be held in Room 205 of the Ryan Building starting at 9:00.

Rep. Ron Miller (R-York) serves as Majority Chair of the Committee and Rep. Greg Vitali (D-Delaware) serves as Minority Chair.
