William C. Forrey To Be Honored By Central PA Conservancy May 18

The Central Pennsylvania Conservancy cordially invites you to attend the 2013 Conservationist of the Year Award Reception honoring CPC Board Member, William Forrey, the former Director of the Bureau of State Parks, at the Ironmaster's Mansion on May 18. 

Forrey is being awarded for his leadership as Pennsylvania Director of State Parks during an important era of state park development. A truly worthy recipient, Bill's accomplishments extend to higher education, local elected office, and governance of professional associations and nonprofit organizations.

The Conservancy is very grateful for his important contribution to the stewardship of the Ironmaster's Mansion.

This event coincides with the kick-off celebration of Pine Grove Furnace State Park's 100th Anniversary. 

The award reception is preceded by a public program from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the Furnace Stack Pavilion, on the life and legacy of Maurice K. Goddard.  Join Marci Mowery, president of the PA Parks and Forests Foundation, for this special educational event before heading to the Ironmaster's Mansion reception!

The 2013 Conservationist of the Year Award reception includes an open bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, live music,desserts, and an award presentation program.  Tickets are $40 per person and proceeds from the event will support educational and maintenance projects at the Ironmaster's Mansion.
