$94.7 Million In 2012 Drilling Fees Distributed To State Agency Programs
The Public Utility Commission also reported this week $94,788,880 in Act 13 drilling impact fees will be distributed to state agencies and programs.
The Impact Fee producer payments for 2012 totaled $202,472,000. Of that $102,683,200 will be distributed directly to county and municipal governments who are directly affected by drilling.
Also, $28 million will be distributed to state agencies impacted by drilling. The remaining $71,788,800 will be placed into the Marcellus Legacy Fund, which was established under the law to fund environmental, highway, water and sewer projects, rehabilitation of greenways and other projects throughout the state.
The 2012 distribution to state programs includes--

-- $14,357,760 - Commonwealth Financing Authority
-- $ 7,178,880 - Environmental Stewardship (Growing Greener) Fund
-- $17,947,200 - PennDOT Highway Bridge Improvement
-- $17,947,200 - Water and Sewer Projects -- $8.9 million to PennVEST, $8.9 million to
Commonwealth Financing Authority H2O Program
-- $10,768,320 - Greenways, Recreation Trails, Open Space, Natural Areas (each county to
receive minimum of $25,000)
