Entries to the PA Resources Council Lens on Litter Photo Contest are due October 31 so be looking for your photo-worthy scenes that call attention to the litter problem in communities across Pennsylvania.

Since 1984 PRC has sponsored the annual contest which has attracted more than 4000 photos creating a "Rogue's Gallery" of the Litterbug at work.   [Photo: 2004 winner by Karen Hohman.]

The photos are loaned to schools and community groups interested in working to help fight litter. The winning photos are displayed throughout Pennsylvania, including PRC's offices in Ridley Creek State Park and Pittsburgh, and the offices of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in Harrisburg.

Contestants are divided into two categories: Adults or Students (under age 18). Each category will be awarded the following prizes: First prize, $1000 cash; second prize, $500 and third prize is $250. Visitors who see the photos on display may also vote for a "People's Choice" winner who will receive a new camera.
