Water Resource Education, Source Water Collaborative Grant Applications Due March 21

The PA League of Women Voters Water Resource Education Network is now accepting applications for Watershed Education and Source Water Protection Collaborative Grants.  Applications are due March 21.

Watershed Education grants provide up to $5,000 to help foster local community partnerships that raise awareness, implement demonstration projects and encourage behavior change that will reduce polluted runoff.

Source Water Protection grants award up to $7,000 to foster regional or County-level Source Water Protection Collaboratives that will educate local officials and residents about ways to protect public drinking water resources from contamination, improve emergency response coordination and ensure the community water supply will be sustainable.

Activities eligible under the grants must take place between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.

For more information, visit the WREN Water Resource Education Grant webpage or contact Julie Kollar, WREN Project Director, by calling 267-468-0555 or send email to: juliekwren@verizon.net.
