The Senate Appropriations Committee will have a hearing on the proposed FY 2014-15 budget request for the Department of Environmental Protection February 18 at 3:00 and for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on February 19 at 9:00.

The House Appropriations Committee will have a hearing on the proposed budget for DEP on February 19 at 1:00 and on DCNR’s budget on February 25 at 11:30.

On February 19, 34 environmental groups and Rep. Greg Vitali (D-Delaware), Minority Chair of the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, will hold a press conference outlining their opposition to further natural gas leasing on DCNR lands.  The press conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Capitol Media Center, Harrisburg.
