Senate Committees Hold June 1 Hearing On Severance Tax Proposals, Watch Live

The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy and Finance Committees will hold a hearing June 1 on natural gas severance tax proposals.

The Committees expect to hear comments from--

-- Eileen McNulty, Acting Secretary, Department of Revenue

-- Matthew Knittel, Director, Independent Fiscal Office

-- Lou D’Amico, President, PA Independent Oil and Gas Association

-- David Spigelmyer, President, Marcellus Shale Coalition

-- Bruce Grindel, Vice-President, PA Grade Crude Coalition

-- Gene Barr, President, PA Chamber of Business and Industry

-- Nathan Benefield, Vice President, Commonwealth Foundation.

Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming) serves as Majority Chair of the Senate Environmental Committee and Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne) serves as Minority Chair.

Sen. John Eichelberger (R-Blair) serves as Majority Chair of the Senate Finance Committee and Sen. John Blake (D-Lackawanna) serves as Minority Chair.
