Volunteers In Kiski River Cleanup Net 400 Tires In Westmoreland County

Two dozen volunteers collected 400 tires and bags of other metal debris during the Kiski River cleanup event on September 26-27 at the Avonmore Bridge in Westmoreland County organized by the Roaring Run and Kiski Watershed associations.

The cleanup was as part of the 2015 International Coastal Cleanup campaign.

Sponsors of the cleanup include: Bridgestone and Firestone, Liberty Tire, Ocean Conservancy, Keep PA Beautiful and the Great American Cleanup.
