The Department of Environmental Protection reminded local governments the deadline for submitting applications for reimbursement under the Host Municipal Waste Facility Inspection Program for 2005 expenses is March 31.

Under the program established in 1988, municipalities can be reimbursed for half the cost of a local inspector of a municipal waste landfill or incinerator or a hazardous waste facility
