Gov. Wolf Friday signed into law legislation extending the one-pound Reid Vapor Pressure waiver which expired on May 1, 2016.

Senate Bill 1123 (Vogel-R-Beaver)-- now Act 80-- will replace the technical guidance published by the Department of Agriculture in the March 19 Pennsylvania Bulletin temporarily extending the waiver. 

Without this new law, expiration of the one-pound waiver would have created havoc in Pennsylvania’s gasoline supply system in September because a unique fuel would be needed for the state.
