July 13 Workshop On Electric Vehicles For Fleet Managers, Others In Philadelphia

The Eastern PA Alliance for Clean Transportation is hosting a July 13 workshop on electric vehicles at the PECO Office, 2301 Market Street in Philadelphia from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hear an overview of electric (EV’s) and hybrid (HEV’s) vehicles, and where the market is headed for this fast approaching alternative fuel.

Members of government, municipalities, colleges, universities, parks' departments, fleet managers, and other interested parties are invited to learn about EV's and related industries.

Eastern Pennsylvania is poised to take the lead on the east coast for this rapidly expanding market. We will have dozens of types of EV’s on site, Including Medium duty and an all Electric School Bus.

Hear a panel of experts discuss the EV movement in the US and how OEM’s offerings will substantially increase within the next few years.

Other topics that will be covered:

-- Utility Perspective, load requirements; Utility support

-- Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE’s) types, associated costs

-- Fleet Vehicle Types—OEM and conversions

-- Vehicle to Grid Technology (V2G)

-- Outlook for EV market, local; regional and national

A representative from DEP’s Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program will be on hand to answer questions about the competitive grant opportunity and how you can apply for incentives to deploy EVs and EVSE.
