Conservation & Natural Resources Council To Hear About Seismic Monitoring July 27

DCNR’s Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council will hear a presentation on Pennsylvania’s Seismic Monitoring Program at its meeting on July 27.

The Program, which was announced last October, is designed to detect earthquakes generally, but specifically earthquakes that may be related to shale gas drilling activities.

Also on the agenda is a presentation on the Rural Forest Stewardship Program.

The Council meeting will be held in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 10:00.

More information on earthquakes is available on DCNR’s Earthquakes In Pennsylvania webpage.

For more information on the meeting, visit DCNR’s Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council webpage or contact Gretchen Leslie, 717-772-9084, or send email to: gleslie@pa.gov.
