The PA Environmental Council’s Sue Myerov and Paul Racette will present an overview of green stormwater infrastructure measures that help manage stormwater runoff, improve property aesthetics, and reduce property maintenance costs.

This workshop also includes a guided tour of a number of GSI practices within the Navy Yard’s Central Green Park and surrounding green streets.

Specific GSI we will see include: Tree trenches, stormwater planters, rain gardens, and porous pavement. The tour will be led by Carmen Zappile of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (owner) and Anthony Stathos, P.E of Pennoni Engineers (design and maintenance).
