In 2001, the PA Biodiversity Partnership began the development of the PA Biodiversity Conservation Plan to develop recommendations and strategies for protecting and conserving biodiversity in the Commonwealth.

In 2002 the Partnership published the Biodiversity in PA Snapshot, a baseline report on the present state of biodiversity in Pennsylvania.

In 2004 a Blueprint for the Biodiversity Conservation Plan was developed with several rounds of public comment and focus group input.

Now a draft Conservation Plan is in the drafting stage with the goal of releasing a final plan in 2006.

To complete its work, the PA Biodiversity Partnership invites individuals, companies and organizations to become a sponsor of the final PA Biodiversity Conservation Plan.

To learn more about this unique opportunity, visit the Biodiversity Plan Sponsorship webpage. March 10 is the deadline for sponsorship pledges.
