Philly Green City, Clean Waters Student Art Contest Accepting Entries Until March 17
The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and the Philadelphia Water Department are now accepting entries to the 2017 Green City, Clean Waters Student Art Contest. The deadline for entries is March 17.
Philadelphia students in grades K-12 attending public, private, charter or home school in Philadelphia can participate in this year’s Green City, Clean Waters Art Contest. All they need to do is create an original drawing that shows how we all can keep Philly’s Water clean!
The four first-place drawings, one each age category (K-2, 3-5, 6-8 & 9-12), will be transformed into street art stickers and installed on Philly streets.
The top three drawings from each age category will be included in an annual calendar sent to all participants and featured online.
Other prizes to be awarded at a ceremony this spring include:
-- Gift cards up to $100 in value for students and $50 for teachers;
-- $100 gift cards for the first three schools or organizations to submit over 100 entries
framed certificates; and
-- A contest calendar available for free inside the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center.
