This year, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources employees once again have gone above and beyond to further the goals of the agency, and they were recognized by their peers and supervisors for efforts.

“The DCNR employee awards showcase the strategic efforts and the team players who are the foundation of our agency,” said DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn. “Our employees are passionate and forward-thinking, and I’m proud to lead such a strong, driven group.”

More than 50 employees received 19 awards personally by Secretary Dunn at the 2017 awards ceremony, held in the auditorium of the Rachel Carson State Office Building in Harrisburg.

Secretary Dunn was joined by Deputy Secretary for Parks and Forestry, John Norbeck; Deputy Secretary for Administration, Michael Walsh; and Deputy Secretary for Conservation and Technical Services, Lauren Imgrund.

Employees recognized were nominated by their superiors and selected by a screening committee of coworkers. The information listed below about each honoree was provided by the nominating DCNR employee, and also was shared by Walsh at the awards ceremony.
