House Environmental Committee Meets Oct. 3 On Stormwater Act Exemption Bill, DRBC Drilling Ban

The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet October 3 on a bill to exempt certain farm structures from the Stormwater Management Act and a resolution urging the Delaware River Basin Commission to suspend consideration of a natural gas drilling moratorium.  The legislation includes--

-- House Bill 1486 (Zimmerman-R-Lancaster) exempting high tunnel greenhouse structures on farms from the Stormwater Management Act (sponsor summary) [a similar bill passed the House and died in the Senate last year]; and

-- House Resolution 515 (Fritz-R-Wayne) urging the Delaware River Basin Commission to suspend its consideration of a moratorium on natural gas drilling in the Delaware Watershed (sponsor summary).  Click Here for more.

The meeting will be held in Room G-50 of the Irvis Building starting at 9:30.  Committee meetings are typically webcast on the House Republican Caucus website.
