Eugene C. Capaldi, 80, of Newtown Square, Delaware County, passed away Saturday.  He was dedicated to environmental conservation and active in the fight against illegal dumping.

Capaldi was a long-time volunteer with the PA Resources Council and ran its Lens on Litter Contest for 17 years and participated in many other events and programs by PRC.

He loved the responses and pictures that were sent to him each year for the contest, especially those sent by young children.

He was employed with ARCO Chemical Company in Newtown Square as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager.

He will be missed by everyone at PRC who had the privilege of working closely with him over the years.
