Senators Yudichak, Baker Hold Roundtable On Lead Exposure And Lead Testing Feb. 13 At King's College, Wilkes-Barre

Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne) and Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Luzerne) are hosting a Roundtable On Lead Exposure And Lead Testing February 13 at the King's College Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, 133 North Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.

The Senators have invited members of the Senate Lead Task Force, administered by the Joint State Government Commission, to attend the Roundtable which will also include representatives from Luzerne County Head Start, Maternal and Family Health Services, Early Intervention Services - Luzerne and Wyoming Counties, and St. Luke's Hospital.

This event is a follow-up to the Senate Environmental Resources & Energy Committee public hearing on lead exposure and mitigation, which was held on October 30 in Pittston.

Sen. Yudichak, who serves as Minority Chair of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, was prime sponsor on Senate Resolution 33 that created the task force.

Senators Yudichak and Baker announced the introduction of a bipartisan bill on testing children for lead poisoning in December.
