The PA Parks and Forests Foundation Tuesday announced the addition of Casey Schneck from Berks County as an intern in their Camp Hill, Cumberland County office.

While interning at PPFF, Casey will provide programmatic, administrative, and research support to programs including infrastructure needs in state parks and forests, the 125th anniversary of parks and forests, and volunteerism in parks and forests.

“We are excited to have Casey as part of the PPFF team,” said Marci Mowery, President of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. “Interns bring a new perspective and new ideas, which we welcome. It’s a great opportunity to mentor the next generation of conservation leaders.”

“I’m excited to join the PPFF team,” said Schneck. “Our parks and forests have always meant a lot to me as a user, so it’s great to take on this role as a leader of their stewardship. I hope I’ll be able to help protect and preserve our public lands.”

Schneck, a recent Pennsylvania State University graduate, majored in Community, Environment, and Development.

Casey, an Eagle Scout, spent years involved in the Boy Scouts and Venturing, where he held the position of President, Venturing Officers Association.  Additionally, Schneck served as Vice President of Penn State’s Eco Action Club, which focuses on environmental outreach and education, and volunteering.
