Senate Agriculture Committee Holds Oct. 2 Hearing On Invasive, Native Species

The Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing October 2 on invasive and native species.

The Committee is expected to hear comments from--

-- Dr. Doug Tallamy, Department of Entomology & Applied Ecology, University of Delaware;

-- Dr. John Wallace, Penn State Extension Weed Crop Specialist;

-- Ruth Welliver, Director Bureau of Plant Industry, PA Dept. of Agriculture;

-- Lydia Martin, Director of Education, Lancaster County Conservancy;

-- Wendy Brister, Owner/Operator Harvey’s Garden; and

-- Greg Wilson, Conservationist, Lancaster County.

The hearing will be held in Room 8E-B East Wing of the Capitol Building in Harrisburg starting at  9:30.  Click Here to watch the hearing online.
