The PA Horticultural Society will host a 5-session training course beginning October 23 for individuals interested in becoming Green City Teachers.

Green City Teachers is a course that uses experiential learning (yes, get your hands dirty!) to help teachers, educators, administrators and others gain the skills to integrate horticultural and environmental education into curricula, after-school programs, and service-learning projects.

Topics include basic horticulture, STEM and greening in the classroom, food gardening, indoor gardening, and habitat gardens. For educators of pre-school and K- 12.

Open to anyone working with kids.  You do not need to be a teacher and you do not need to work in Philadelphia to participate.

The sessions will be held October 23, 30 and November 6, 13 and 20.

To register or for more information, visit the PHS Green City Teachers webpage.
