Northeast PA Audubon Society Awards College Scholarship

The Wayne Independent reported the Northeast Pennsylvania Audubon Society presented a $4,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in an environmental field.

This year’s scholarship winner is Wesley Conklin, son of Trista and Brad Conklin of Greentown. Wesley is a 2019 graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley. He will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to study Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The Northeast Pennsylvania Audubon Society is proud to support the youth of our area through college and camp scholarships.

Art & Craft Festival July 20-21

The funding for these scholarships is generated from the Art and Craft Festival held each July in Hawley, Wayne County. This year’s festival will be July 20 and 21 at the Wallenpaupack Area High School.
