The Keystone Northeast Chapter of the PA Society of Professional Engineers honored John R. Ackerman with the chapter’s Engineer of the Year Award in August.

Ackerman is President of Twin Oaks Water Systems, Inc. in Hazle Township, Luzerne County.

He was named Engineer of the Year by the Lehigh Valley Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers in April. 

He also served several terms as Chairman of the PA Anthracite Section of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.
