The next Pennsylvania Lake Erie Environmental Forum will be held on October 29 starting at 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie.

Lake Erie and the surrounding watershed play a significant role in the economic vitality, cultural heritage, and overall environmental health of Erie County and the surrounding region.

Recognizing this, the  Department of Environmental Protection and the PA Sea Grant Program organized the PA Lake Erie Environmental Forum as a way to provide related environmental and regional information to the public - and to also engage citizens in the process of environmental protection by providing the public with the opportunity to share local insights, information, and opinion.

The agenda for this year's Forum will include--

-- Update On Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, Compact

-- Great Lakes Restoration Initiative

-- PA State Water Plan Update

-- Understanding Great Lakes Water Levels & Impacts of Climate Change

-- Coastal and Community Resiliency Planning

-- Preparing Erie, PA For Extreme Weather - Upcoming Erie Resilience Study

The Forum will also provide participants with an opportunity to provide comments, identify issues, provide updates on their activities and recommend future topics.
