Pike Conservation District Highlights Upcoming Education Workshops For Landowners, Contractors

The Pike County Conservation District highlighted upcoming educational workshops and programs in its March newsletter.

The District will offer three How Your Backyard Activities Affect Your Lake Workshop Series--

-- May 19: Ways To Help Your Lake Stay Healthy

-- June 23: Homeowner Tips To Protect Clean Water

-- August 15: Getting To Know Your Drinking Water

The workshops will be held at the Lackawaxen Township Building, 169 Urban Road in Hawley from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The workshops are free, but registration is requested.

Erosion & Sedimentation Control

The newsletter also offers a handy guide for erosion and sedimentation control for small projects.

2019 Annual Report

The 2019 Annual Report is now available including information on technical programs, the new District Podcast, Envirothon, educational programs, the Community Association Series and legislative outreach.

March Podcast

The March Conservation District Podcast includes tips on properly maintaining an on-lot septic system.
