Western PA Conservancy Tree Equity Specialist

The Western PA Conservancy is seeking qualified candidates for a Tree Equity Specialist position based in Harrisburg.

The purpose of this position is to further the goals of the Bureau of Forestry’s Urban & Community Forestry Program, also known as TreeVitalize.  Competencies in equitable community development and environmental justice are highly valuable.

TreeVitalize helps citizens understand the myriad benefits of planting trees, the importance of keeping existing trees in the community healthy, and the value of sufficient tree canopy.

The program also encourages and provides outlets for citizens and municipalities to take action to improve their urban and community forest.

Audubon Society Of Western PA Whetzel Land Steward

The Audubon Society Of Western PA is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of the Whetzel Land Steward.

The Whetzel Land Steward will support various functions of ASWP’s Conservation Department, including Certified Backyard Habitat, land management, and Audubon Center for Native Plants.

This is a 40 hour / week, seasonal position that will work Tuesdays – Saturdays from late April through early November, with a potential for extension.

The position will be based out of Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve in Pittsburgh.

Northumberland Conservation District Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician

The Northumberland County Conservation District is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Mosquito-borne Disease Control Technician.

The Technician will assist with the implementation of the Mosquito-borne Disease Control program and Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM) plan throughout a five-county area; specifically, Northumberland, Columbia, Montour, Snyder, and Union counties
