Senate/House Bills Moving Last Week

The following bills of interest saw action last week in the House and Senate--

Senate

Transfer Of Funds: House Bill 1232 (Dunbar-R-Westmoreland) amending the Fiscal Code to move tax filing and payment dates to July 15, making related changes to local tax codes and authorizing the transfer of $50 million from special funds under the Governor’s jurisdiction to pay for emergency equipment needed to combat COVID-19 to the extent federal funds are inadequate. (House Fiscal Note & Summary) was passed by the Senate, concurred in by the House and was signed into law by the Governor.

State Game Lands: House Bill 752 (Turzai-R-Allegheny) removes the cap on purchasing State Game Lands in Allegheny County (House Fiscal Note & Summary) was referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Onlot Septic Systems: Senate Bill 1030 (Yaw-R-Lycoming) amending the Sewage Facilities Act to change the process for considering alternative on-lot sewage disposal systems (sponsor summary) was referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
