The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating National Trails Day on June 6 by encouraging hiking on Cameron County trails and having participants share selfies to  hashtags #NationalTrailsDay and #HikeCameronCounty when posting to social media.

The Chamber of Commerce will randomly select winners from the posts.

“This is one event where you can social distance,”  says executive director Tina Solak.

The chamber is continuing to plan for a golf outing and Weekend in the Wilds.  Both of those events may look different as the Chamber will follow the Covid-19 guidelines from the state Department of Health.
