Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits.

Regulations -----------------------

The Environmental Quality Board is inviting comments on a proposed regulation to control methane emissions from existing oil and gas operations by setting volatile organic compound emission standards.  DEP estimates the regulation will reduce methane emissions from oil and gas operations by 75,000+ tons per year and VOC emissions by more than 4,400 tons. Technical Guidance -------------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the May 23 PA Bulletin of draft technical guidance on Land Recycling Program Technical Guidance Manual, Appendix II-A: The Use of Caps as Activity and Use Limitations [DEP ID: 261-0300-101]  Public comments are due June 22.  Questions should be directed to Troy Conrad by sending an email to:  tconrad@pa.gov  or call 717-783-9480.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the May 23 PA Bulletin of final 2020 ozone season nitrogen oxide emission limits for nonelectric generating units.
